Playdate NoVA 🌻
This Weekend in NoVA With Kids
Every dated edition keeps the family event, age specific outings, and parent details in one permanent place.

Each edition includes the outings selected for that weekend, another option if plans change, and the practical notes I checked for parents. That can include admission, parking, bathrooms, registration, age fit, and the activity that makes the stop worth leaving home for.
Use an older edition for ideas, not as proof that an event is still happening. Dates, hours, prices, and signup rules can change after publication. Open the event page and its official source before promising the plan to your kids.
For current choices, start with the newest edition below or open the live Weekend Planner. New editions are written for NoVA parents and saved here so useful local planning does not disappear inside an inbox.
The archive is also handy when you remember an idea but not the place name. Open the edition, find the age section or backup plan you liked, and follow the place link for the current details. A saved edition will never quietly change its original weekend picks.
How I use an older edition
I start with the age section that fits my child, then check whether the drive, weather, and energy level still work for us. If the featured event has passed, the place itself may still be a good outing. I open its current listing, check today’s hours and admission, and look at the backup plan before we leave. For a mixed-age family, I choose the stop with the easiest bathrooms, parking, and room for everyone to move. That usually matters more than squeezing in the most activities.
