The easiest everyday plan
Strawberry Park Playground is open daily from 8 AM to 10 PM. It is a compact urban playground and lawn, not a destination park. Use it as a short movement stop, then add one scheduled event, meal, or paid activity only if the family still has energy.
The splash pad is closed Saturdays
The Mosaic District splash pad runs seasonally from May through September from 9:15 AM to 9:45 PM. It is closed Saturdays. Slip resistant footwear is required, and food and drinks stay outside the fountain wet area. The official property page does not publish an admission fee.
Paid indoor stops need an exact booking
Muse Paintbar Fairfax schedules public paintings and marks selected sessions for children or families. Prices change by painting and date. The Angelika Film Center Mosaic is a separate paid movie plan with showtime specific tickets. Do not promise a child screening or price until the exact listing is open.
Parking is easier than bathroom planning
The official Mosaic directions page lists five garages with 2,500 spaces. Garage parking is free for up to five hours from 6 AM to 2 AM. Overnight parking is not allowed, and street spaces can have shorter limits. The weekday shuttle connects Dunn Loring Merrifield Metro and Mosaic, but it does not run weekends.
Mosaic does not publish a standalone public restroom for Strawberry Park or the splash pad. Plan to use the customer restroom at a booked venue or restaurant and confirm access. Do not tell a child the park has a bathroom when the property has not published one.
Food is an add on, not the activity
