Match storytime to the official age
The official Loudoun storytime page lists baby storytime for ages 0 to 18 months, toddler storytime for ages 18 to 36 months, preschool storytime for ages 3 to 5, and family or musical storytime for ages 0 to 5. Playdate NoVA keeps the baby storytime filter narrow, but the official event age always controls.
A branch visit does not need an event
You can use the children's area, browse books, and take a short indoor break during normal branch hours without waiting for a scheduled program. The six larger branches above are open seven days a week. Most open at 9:30 AM, but closing hours differ by weekday and weekend. Open the branch page before leaving because holidays and building notices can change the schedule.
Parking and bathrooms are not published consistently
Ashburn's Playdate NoVA standing record includes public restrooms and free library parking. The official Cascades page links to bus service, and a recent official branch event page confirms free front and rear lots. The other official branch pages reviewed on July 23 provide directions but do not state one precise family parking or bathroom rule. Use the official directions link, follow posted signs, and ask the service desk where the nearest restroom is after arriving.
Scheduled programs need one more check
The current cards below come from official library event pages. Open the event before leaving to confirm the date, time, branch, age range, room, and whether registration or first come capacity applies. If the program fills, the ordinary children's area can still be the backup unless the branch itself is closed.
Use the smaller branches when drive time wins
Lovettsville, Middleburg, and Purcellville also publish children's programs, but the six branches above own the strongest current search demand and event volume. Use the official Loudoun branch directory when one of the smaller branches is much closer to home.
